Enjoy the beauty of Scott Valley; clean air, blue skies, and great views. Adventure-seekers are attracted to Scott Valley because we are the last stop in civilization, sharing borders with three spectacular Wilderness Areas: Marble Mountains, Russians, and Trinity Alps. The natural beauty and diversity of the area provide a playground for outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting, fishing, rafting, kayaking, biking, and racing.
Marathon, 5k and 16 mile races
The race starts and ends at Etna High School. There are three different race courses. The course for the marathon and 16 mile race are on paved, flat terrain, while the 5K takes runners into a wooded area with several inclines.
Water stations are placed every three miles. Strollers and wheelchairs are not recommended. No bikes, roller blades or pets please.
There is plenty of free parking at the Etna High School campus.
All competitors will wear bib numbers with pull tabs for timing and placement. The finish line closes at 1 p.m. Official times cannot be guaranteed for those who finish later.
